Black Conservative Hits Rachel Jeantel’s Speech Impediment
Conservative radio host Larry Elder criticized Rachel Jeantel’s speech impediment Wednesday night during a heated exchange on CNN’s Piers Morgan Tonight, the Raw Story reports.
Jeantel’s speech became a big topic of conversation during George Zimmerman’s second-degree-murder trial. Elder said that the way she speaks suggests that she’s unintelligent and uneducated. She suffers from a structural overbite, which makes it difficult to pronounce consonants properly.
“Rachel Jeantel needs to get her act together,” Elder said. “If my mother were alive, she would say, ‘How dare she speak like that.’ “
Morgan noted that Jeantel was trilingual — she speaks English, Spanish and Haitian Creole — and had a GPA of 3.0 in high school. She fell behind in school because of an illness, which is why she started her senior year of high school when she was 19 years old.
“Does she sound to you like anyone you want to hire in any kind of capacity?” Elder responded.

i will say however that while mr elder is on one side of the spectrum, on the other are those who laud jeantel’s lack of english proficiency as a testament of “blackness.” i find that equally disturbing and just as bad of a message.

This poor man’s face knows perfectly well that he is not telling the truth.
He simply does not like N*****s.
What’s complex about that?
Perhaps that is why our suicide rate is so low.
So I’m in no rush to measure up.

Everything Larry said on Pearce I agree with. I am tired of seing people like Jeantel treated with kids glove because everyone has to pretend that black americans are 1 degree short of getting their masters in rocket science.
Is there racism in America. Yes. Are American racists hiding in bushes waiting to shoot black people at every street corner. No. I am more grateful than ever that I was born in Haiti even thought right now it’s barely a country. Being Haitian born I know that not not everything is a bout color. Most things people say are due to racism, hapened between black people in Haiti. Are haitians racists against other haitians? No. But in America noone is allowed to point out that black Americans are doing more harms to themselves than any white man could do in century without having a mob come out after you. There can’t be a recovery unless you acknowledge a problems and it seems clearer than ever, black Americans are not ready for an intervention. Maybe never. And that is very depressing.
No one has a monopoly on Evil.
But how is it that America became the greatest nation in history and all I got was a T-Shirt (and/or hoodie)?
