Usher’s son, Usher Raymond V, has reportedly been hospitalized after a Monday pool accident.

According to TMZ, the singer’s 5-year-old son was playing in the pool around 2 PM at his home in Atlanta, when the accident occurred. The child was reportedly playing and dove to the bottom of the pool after seeing a toy in the pool’s drain. He reportedly then got his arm stuck in the drain.

The child’s aunt dove into the pool attempting to free the child’s arm, but was unsuccessful. A housekeeper at Usher’s home also jumped into the pool to help, but was also reportedly unsuccessful.

After screaming for help, two contractors who were at the home then reportedly came to the child’s aid and were able to free him from the drain.

One contractor then performed CPR on the singer’s son and he was taken to the hospital.

TMZ reported that the singer was not at home during the scare.

The Associated Press also confirmed the news, with Atlanta police spokesman Carlos Campos saying the singer’s son was “conscious, breathing and alert” when firefighters arrived at the home.

Usher Raymond V, who is the oldest of the singer’s sons with ex-wife Tameka Raymond, is reportedly currently in ICU at an Atlanta area hospital.

TMZ reported that a series of tests are being performed on “The Voice” coach’s son, but they believe he will be OK.

Both Usher and Tameka are reportedly at the hospital with their son.

The pool scare follows the tragic death of Tameka’s 11-year-old son, Kile Glover, who died in July 2012 following a jet ski accident.

A rep for Usher was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Access on Tuesday.

“I need an ambulance,” says the breathless caller in the 911 call placed for Usher’s son, Raymond V.

The five-year-old, who is said to have been under the care of his aunt, Rena Oden, was caught in the drain of a pool as he went after a toy.

“My nephew was in the pool .. and I couldn’t get him… I couldn’t get him…” says Oden. “Oh…”

The dispatcher urges her to “stay with me” and to “breathe.”

The aunt says, “They’re doing CPR on him now.” Two male employees working at the house were able to free the little boy.

“Is he coming around?” she can be heard asking someone else.

“He’s breathing,” she says.

TMZ reports that Usher’s ex, Tameka Raymond, has filed documents in Fulton County, Ga., asking for custory of their two boys, Raymond V and Naviyd Ely, 4.
